Litchfield's American Legion Post 27 held a Veterans Day service on the Green on Saturday.

In addition to paying tribute to veterans, the service marked the addition of two new names on the year-old war on terror monument on the Green. Unveiled were the names of Geoffrey Houser, who serves in the Marines, and Robert Thomas, who serves in the Army.

The monument lists Litchfield residents who have served in the military since 1990, when the war on terror is considered to have begun.

A small crowd watches the service.

Post 27's Gene Saska offers words during the service.
