The Goshen Fair's 107th year came to a successful end on Monday even though many fairgoers headed home in the middle of the afternoon after heavy rain fell on the fairgrounds. Upwards of 30,000 people attended the three-day fair.

Joseph Lemesa of Manchester, N.H., gave it his all in the pie-eating contest.

Addie Foss, 11, of Litchfield, and her Ayrshire dairy cow, Melody, rest in the barn on Monday after a successful weekend of showmanship competition. Melody won three championship ribbons.

Vaill Cherosnick, 4, of Litchfield, was left with a blue tongue after eating a frozen treat on Monday.

A heavy mid-afternoon rain fell on the fair on Monday and sent many people home.
