The fourth annual life-size game of Monopoly benefiting the Possum Queen Foundation took place at the Litchfield Saltwater Grille on Saturday.
It was an opportunity to raise some money for the Possum Queen Foundation, drink beer and have fun. The foundation headed by local sports celebrity Bill Neller donates cash to needy local residents facing unexpected medical costs.
Neller and game emcee John Bongiorno oversaw the competition that drew three teams. Team Steve captured first place, Team Sonic was second and Team Murphy brought up the rear. First prize was a bottle of rum donated in memory of former Litchfield police officer Roger (Dodgie) Doyle by his son, Nick. Dodgie Doyle was a supporter of the Possum Queen Foundation.
Team Sonic found itself in jail on occasion.
