Litchfield First Selectman Leo Paul Jr., above, waves to traffic while standing on the Litchfield Green during Election Day campaigning on Tuesday morning. Paul, Selectman Jonathan Torrant and Board of Education candidate Matthew Terzian were at the Green shortly after sunrise and spent about two hours there.

Paul's opponent, Matthew Blasavage, below, parked his van along the side of West Street near Murphy's Pharmacy and acknowledged motorists passing by. In the bottom photos, Paul and Terzian hold signs and Blasavage and Board of Education candidate Lynn Stone stand in front of Blasavage's van.

Polls are open until 8 p.m.
