Preservation trust weighing options for building
Litchfield.bz (12-23-18)

Perley H. Grimes Jr., president of the Greater Litchfield Preservation Trust, said the GLPT will consider its options for the former Litchfield County courthouse in the wake of voters in a referendum Wednesday rejecting a plan to spend up to $7.6 million turning the buildng into a town hall. The GLPT was proposing to give the building to the town for use as a town hall, but voters were cool to the plan and rejected it by a substantial margin. Until the GLPT decides what to do with the building, it will preserve and protect the landmark, according to Grimes. BZ photo
