Two bridge projects in Litchfield are moving along on schedule and a refurbishing of the area around the Green was completed well ahead of schedule.
Replacement of a bridge on Brush Hill Road is expected to be completed in the next month, while replacement of a bridge over the Bantam River on North Shore Road is on schedule to be finished by the end of November. Both projects are being overseen by Cardinal Engineering of Litchfield.
Cardinal Engineering also oversaw the installation of new drainage and granite curbing around the Green and a re-paving of West Street. The project was expected to take up to three months but was completed in just over three weeks because most of the work was done at night.
The next major public works project on the schedule is the replacement of walls at the recycling center.
Work on the Brush Hill Road bridge, above, and North Shore Road bridge, below, is progressing.
