St. Paul's Church in Bantam was a festive place on Saturday as it held its annual holiday fair and gave shoppers a chance to get a head start on their Christmas shopping.
The highlight of the afternoon came when the winners of a prize drawing were selected. First prize, a summer quilt made by church parishioners Betsy Antonucci, Mary Curtiss, Sally Bourne and Mary Fran Weik, was won by Dave Weik, Mary Fran's husband.
Second prize, another quilt made by the ladies, went to Cathy Roscello of Torrington, the daughter of Curtiss. Susan Pearsall of Litchfield was the winner of third prize, a piece of pottery donated by parishioner Carol Moore.
The Rev. Brett Figlewski of St. Paul's shows Mary Fran Weik the item he picked up at the fair.
