Organizers of the second annual Retro Dodge Ball Tournament benefiting the Litchfield Education Foundation are in the final stages of planning for the March 24 extravaganza.
The double-elimination tournament will be held at Litchfield High School from 2 to 5 p.m. The field has been expanded to 24 teams in the wake of last year's success. Team entry is $210. Information about registration is available at LEFforstudents.org.
Litchfield residents Jay Bolton and Matt Terzian founded the tournament and have paired with the LEF to carry it out. They are working diligently to organize this year's event and are shooting to raise $10,000, double last year's take. LEF funds enrichment programs in the schools.
A post-tournament party will be held at the Litchfield Saltwater Grille. The premier sponsor for the tournament is OrthoConnecticut, which will be opening an office in Litchfield. Nineteen other local businesses are providing sponsorship.
