Rotary Club hears from Susan B. Anthony Project rep
Ron Swanson, the new president of the Litchfield-Morris Rotary Club, chats with Gina Devaux, director of development for the Susan B. Anthony Project in Torrington, following the club's meeting Thursday at the Forman School.
Devaux was the meeting's guest speaker and spoke about the services the SBA Project provides and its plan to hold the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser in Litchfield on May 20. All males participating in the will have to wear the red high heels being held by Devaux.
Swanson pledged Rotary's support for the walk and said he would be participating. Registration for the walk is $35 through March 31 and $50 until the day of the event. Swanson announced that the Rotary Club will host a Fat Tuesday Mardi Grass party at the Village Restaurant at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13. There will be prizes for best costume and most beads.
