It was another successful food drive for Morris Friends and Neighbors on Saturday at the Morris Congregational Church.
Led by Mary Ann Orzell, volunteers received a healthy donation of food and money that will allow the organization to replenish its stock.
Morris Friends and Neighbors provides food weekly to needy residents in town who have children at the James Morris School. Donations from employees at Cly-Del Manufacturing in Waterbury, where Kevin DeRoehn of Morris works, helped purchase food for Saturday's drive.
Selectman Vincent Aiello helps out by gathering redeemable cans and bottles at the town's recycling center and cashing them in. Proceeds go to Morris Friends and Neighbors. The Litchfield-Morris Rotary Club has been a supporter as well.
Anyone interested in donating food or money can call Orzell at 860-485-3483.
