Jared Lago of Boy Scout Troop 29 in Bantam reached the pinnacle of Scouting on Sunday when he received his Eagle Scout rank during a Court of Honor ceremony at the Warren community center.
Lago, a Warren resident, restored the handicap ramp at the Warren Congretional Church for his Eagle Scout project. He was recognized during the Court of Honor by Warren First Selectman Craig Nelson, state Rep. David T. Wilson, R-Litchfield, and state Sen. Craig Miner, R-Litchfield.
A graduate of Wamogo and a student at Naugatuck Valley Community College, Lago was a prolific Boy Scout as he exceeded the number of merit badges Scout typically earn by five.
He is the third Warren Scout from Troop 29 to earn the Eagle Scout rank this year, joining Jeff Ward and Ben Frisbie.
