Wamogo Regional High School held its annual Veterans Day breakfast on Friday.

Dozens of veterans turned out for a complimentary breakfast of eggs, pancakes, home fries and sausage. Food was prepared by cafeteria director Lucille Cahill and several adult volunteers and students who gave up a day off from school to be part of the tribute. Students also served food and cleared tables and provided a welcoming atmosphere for veterans.

The school band and chorus led by music teacher Ben Loomis perfomed a series of patriotic numbers. The First Litchfield Artillery Regiment was part of the morning too as it fired a three-canon salute at the end of the breakfast.
