Work set to begin on project in center of Litchfield

The center of Litchfield is about to turn into a contruction zone as work to install new drainage on West Street, re-pave the street, and place new granite curbing around portions of the Green is set to begin Sunday night.
Some of the work will be done overnight to limit interuption of business and traffic in the center. The cost of the project is $300,790. Millenium Builders of Rocky Hill is the contractor.
Drainage will be installed first followed by the re-paving of the street. Curbing will be installed in the final phase. The project is scheduled to be completed by early fall.
