Cider Run in Warren benefits scholarship fund

The 11th annual Cider Run in Warren drew 65 runners and walkers on Saturday and raised money for the Warren Parks and Recreation Commission’s scholarship fund.
 
The 3.1-mile race was sponsored by the commission and the Warren Land Trust. It started and finished at Warren Woods.
 
Winning the race was Jake Centatiempo, 11, of Woodbury, in a time of 20:28. David Poppel of Burlington was second in 21:35 and Tim Angevine of Warren third in 21:46.
 
Tiffany Parkhouse of Warren was the first female finisher with her time of 23:25. Naomi Robert of Morris was the runner up female in 25:27.
 
To the winners went bottles of wine from Hopkins Vineyard and gift certificates for lunch at Hopkins Inn. Age group winners received a bag of apples and a half-gallon of apple cider.
 
Coordinating the race were Kirby Mullen and Sarah Churyk of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
