Dominance by Zemaitis has Wamogo riding high

Wamogo's softball team has kept up it winning ways this week with a pair of shutouts in which pitcher Cyrena Zemaitis was superb.

Zemaitis, who will pitch at Franklin Pierce College next year, tossed a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Terryville on Tuesday and a one-hitter in a 15-0 win over Thomaston on Wednesday. She struck out 15 against Terryville and 12 against Thomaston.

Wamogo is 13-2.

Zemaitis helped herself in the Terryville game with three hits. Danielle Maliszewski added two hits for the Warriors.

Maliszewski had a triple, three singles and three RBI in the win over Thomaston. Savannah Wheeler added three hits and four RBI and Caitlyn Maliszewski had a triple, double, single and three RBI.
