Litchfield boys fall short in final home game

Shepaug spoiled Litchfield High's senior night on Friday by downing the Cowboys 49-37.

Playing their final home game for the Cowboys were Giordan Maggi, Jack Kreuzer, Evan Persechino and Aaron Landau. The quartet combined for six points as Litchfield fell to 2-17 heading into Tuesday's finale at Gilbert.

Jared Guilmart had 15 points and Matt Schweter nine for the Cowboys, who staged a rally in the fourth quarter that came up short.
