Local teams bounced from Tri-State League playoffs

Terryville won the series, two games to none to advance to the Tri-State League World Series. 

Below, Cowboys third baseman Steve Harrison winds up for a throw to first base after fielding a ground ball. Odenwaelder had a home run and a double to pace the Cowboys, who finished 14-6. Litchfield's other team in the league, the Tri-Town Trojans, were defeated by Naugatuck 10-4 in the second game of a best of three series at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury on Wednesday. Naugatuck won the series two games to none. Tri-Town was led by Connor Murray with three hits. The Trojans finished 16-4. John McKenna photos
