Mangini sets course record in winning Jingle Bell Run

The 36th annual Jingle Bell Run was held on an ideal day for running on Saturday and featured a record-setting performance by Josh Mangini of New Hartford.
Mangini, 17, covered the 3.1 miles in 16:46 to shatter the course record. Abigail Johnston of Northfield was the first female finisher and ws eighth overall with her time of 19:50. Malin Adams was the first Litchfield resident to finish, placing ninth in 21:18.
The race was sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and directed by parks and recreation Director Brent Hawkns and his assistant, Lisa Beyer. Hawkins also ran the race and placed 16th in 22:15.
