The season will finally begin on Tuesday for Litchfield High's boys soccer team which, like most of the schools in the Berkshire League, was unable to practice on several days the past two weeks due to the oppressive late-summer heat.

Litchfield was scheduled to open on Friday against Nonnewaug, but since the team didn't have the required 10 practices under its belt, the game had to be rescheduled. The Cowboys will instead open at Housatonic on Tuesday.

It should be an interesting season for coach Rob Andrulis's club, which boasts talent all over the field.

Coleby Bunnell provides significant experience in goal for the Cowboys.

Charlie Shanks will be a potent scoring threat at forward.

Augie Hurtado is part of an experienced defensive line.
