Season opens at Plumb Hill for Wamogo track teams

Wamogo’s track and field teams had mixed results in their meets against Gilbert at Plumb Hill Playing Fields on Wednesday, with the girls winning 62-39 and the boys losing 88-30. It was the first meet of the season for Wamogo and Gilbert.
Olivia Norris was a triple-winner for the girls in placing first in the 100 meters and 200 meters and running with the winning 4x100 relay team. Rita Dziedzic won the 400 meters, Meg Salmon the 3200 meters and Haley Donaldson the discus for the Warriors.
Joining Norris on the 4x100 relay team were Dziedzic, Grace Farrell and Nikita Berger.
Wamogo also won the 4x800 relay and 4x400 relay. Running the 4x800 were Salmon, Meghan Morrissey, Sage Reeves and Isabella Giansanti and the 4x400 Dziedzic, Marina Vlasto, Giansanti and Sydney Marhefsky.
For Wamogo in the boys meet, Riley Brady won the 300-meter hurdles and long jump and was part of the winning 4x100 relay team. Brady ran the relay with Christian Silver, Alex Johnson and Champion Boswell.
