Sparkle & Shine Dance cleans up at dance challenge

The Sparkle & Shine Dance team from Bantam showed its talent in the Elite Dance Challenge at the Kalahari Resort in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains July 8-12.
The team dancers won the junior grand champion title in the competition and one of them, Lily Lipinsky, won two first-place trophies. For winning the junior grand champion title, Sparkle and Shine collected a huge trophy and $750 in prize money.
Lipinsky was first among mini soloists and was one of the top 10 high scorers in the competition. She also teamed with Julia Fletcher and Alison Lunt to win first place in trio dancing. Lipinsky, Alanna McKenna and Mollie Leonard each received scholarship awards.
Other dancers earning first-place awards were Janelle Franklund, Karis Bongiolatti and Alexandra Whipple.
The rest of the team included Talia Alicea, Audrey Ryan, Nastassia Lopez, Maya Gagnon, Mikayla Gagnon, Abbey Lawrence, Ava Churyk, Hannah Warshaw, Laura Fletcher, Maddie Curtiss, Jacey Bongiolaatti, Elizabeth Watkins, Summerlin O’Neill, Piper Carr, Kaleigh Hotchkiss, Catherine Acerbi, Cora Desmond, Maddie Daudelin, Sierra Clark, Caitlyn Reiter, Quinn Gray, Aliana Richardson, Charity Zuffelato, Jeremy Bennett, Teagan Bates, Ava Munday, Willow Schulde and Cali Ciccarelli.
