Tri-Town Trojans roll in Tri-State tourney opener

Six strong innings by Miles Scribner and Sam Shurberg's four hits and five RBI led the Tri-Town Trojans to an 11-1 win over Terryville in the Tri-State League tournament opener Friday at Community Field.
The Trojans (14-5) are playing at Naugatuck on Saturday and will play an opponent to be determined on Sunday.
Scribner gave up just two hits in his outing. Shurberg had a double and three singles and helped the Trojans build a 7-0 lead after three innings. Steve Price added a single and a double and Dan McCarty a single, double and two RBI for the Trojans.
