The Tri-Town Trojans of Litchfield are riding atop the standings in the Tri-State League after a 10-0 win over the Torrington Rebels at Community Field on Sunday.
Workhorse righthander Miles Scribner turned in yet another strong performance on the mound to lead the Trojans to their seventh win in eight games. Key local players in the Trojans' lineup are first baseman Joe Bunnell, second baseman Kyle Osolin, third baseman Sam Shurberg, center fielder Casey McDonald and player/coach Dan McCarty. The ageless Landon Gardella is back at catcher.
The Trojans are scheduled to play at Canton on Tuesday and will host the Valley Thunder on Sunday at 11 a.m.
