Litchfield hosted Wamogo, Nonnewaug and Forman in a cross-country meet Tuesday.

The girls and boys races were held simultaneously due the threat of mosquito-borne equine encephalitis disease. Running the races together allowed competition to end well before the 5:30 deadline Litchfield and other schools have set to avoid exposure to mosquitoes closer to dusk.
