Wamogo's Sattazahn reaches milestone in win

Garrett Sattazahn made history for Wamogo on Tuesday as he broke into the school's 1,000th career point club with 27 points in an 80-49 win over Housatonic.
Sattazahn reached the milestone with a layup in the second quarter and ended the night with 1,014 points. Jeremy Margaitis (1,053 points), Ryan Margaitis (1,102) and Nick Nemergut (1,156), Charlie O'Neill (1,163) are in Sattazahn's sights as the end of the regular season nears. Chuck Aleksinas (1,916), Mike Odenwalder (1,679) and Jed Coe (1,358) are the top three scorers in school history.
The Warriors made quick work of Housatonic in improving to 11-3. Fueled by their press, the Warriors led 25-15 after one quarter and 46-22 at halftime before hitting cruise control in the second half. Ethan Collins added 14 points and Sean Coffey 12 for Wamogo.
The win came one night after Wamogo smoked Gilbert 91-51 behind 26 points from Sattazahn, 16 from Collins, 15 from Coffey and 10 from Reid Turtoro.
