Late winter storm delivers a powerful punch
The entryway to Goshen Center School was buried in more than two feet of snow on Wednesday morning in the wake of Tuesday's Storm Stella, a powerful nor'easter that blasted Connecticut and the Northeast with heavy snow and strong wind. Schools were closed on Wednesday while the cleanup got underway.
Below, top to bottom, a payloader from Litchfield's public works department cleared a path across the Green, Bruce Richard, a custodian at the James Morris School in Morris, clears the sidewalk in front of the school, and John Leary, a custodian at Goshen Center School, digs through a deep snowdrift as he clears the walkway in front of the school.
