Photographer Cathy Oneglia of Litchfield rose early on Thursday to capture the partial eclipse from the top of Chestnut Hill. She arrived at 5:30 a.m. just a few minutes after sunrise and was joined by Egils Bogdanovics and Margaret Hunt, both of Litchfield, in witnessing the celestial phenomena of the moon's shadow crossing the sun.
