The Conservation Commission in Litchfield will host a public discussion on watershed protection Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Litchfield Community Center. The discussion will focus on the importance of riparian buffers to water quality. Riparian buffers are strips of native plants along shorelines that filter runoff before it reaches the water.
